Busy Weekender

I still haven't bought that milk I wrote about last time. It's been super busy. I just got a huge case dumped on me by Jimmy the PI. He just couldn't handle the workload I guess and if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. That's what my mother always said, anyway. I love my job so it hasn't been too torturous spending all night using a person search to track down my suspect. Basically, this woman was robbed of some rare books last week but she's most worried about her ex-husband, who apparently disappeared at the same time as the books. So I've been put on the case to find someone who can explain it to me. Personally I don't see what the books and the ex-husband have to do with one another but hey, money doesn't grow on trees and I will never turn my nose up at work no matter how ridiculous it is. And it can get pretty ridiculous. I mean, check out this list of ways to defend against cheerleaders! Who knew that vengeful cheerleaders were a social problem but as the list says, cheerleader attacks are on the rise. Be careful out there!

Life Extension...

Have any of you ever heard of life extension? I don't mean crazy cryogenic life extension, but rather real viable life extension. I have been reading a lot about it lately, and I'm totally into it. I don't believe I'm going to live forever or anything, but I've been taking these vitamins... and I just feel awesome about it. I was reading some stuff online about how the right kind of supplementation has been linked to all kinds of benefits - benefits which I hope to capitalize on. I'll let you know how it goes... or maybe you'll just be able to tell when I'm still blogging in a hundred years. ;) As for my new dude, things are going great still... but I found out some interesting things about him when I was doing all that search people stuff I do. Seems as if he's been married more than once... nothing too fishy though otherwise. I didn't do too much other searching because I figure as long as you can tell there's no criminal record or anything too weird then it's just being weird. Instead I went and read up on a few tips on how to locate a person on this person's blog. I don't know them, but I wish they did. They give great tips. Speaking of which, this article on finding email addresses online is really helpful for those of you looking to secure some emails. I find that emails aren't the best way to get in contact usually with old friends or lost relatives though simply because people change their email addresses so frequently these days. Plus... there's nothing like the rush of hearing and old friend's voice on the phone after not having heard them for a while. Ok... I'm off to go get some milk. If I don't have some for my coffee in the morning I'm going to be a very cranky lady.

Getting Closer..

Things with that woman are getting pretty serious. I know I said I'd take it slow, but in my world this is actually pretty slow. We haven't even slept together or anything, we're just getting really close and intimate, just not in that way, you know? Jimmy the PI knows about us, and he's totally cool. Didn't make things weird at work or whatever, which was nice. I've had a lot of experience to the contrary, believe me. Something just occured to me, I dunno why I never thought of this before. I'm gonna run a person search to see if I can dig anything up about her past. Sound nosy, I know, but it's my job and I have an honest curiosity about this type of stuff. Plus I really like this woman, and I want things to be perfect. Heck, I find people for a living so it's only natural, not weird or stalkerish. People search engines are incredible tools that can help us not only in our professional lives, but also in our personal lives. Anyway, things are fine between us..don't think otherwise. In fact, we've been playing this great scrabble-type game called Scrabulous online. This guy seems to like it too: Rant Farm - To Scrabulous.

Learning the Ropes

Jimmy the PI and I mutually decided to stop dating. Well, it was possibly more my decision than his, but still, it was amicable. In fact, not only are we still working together, I'm starting to take on a bigger role in Jimmy's company and he's teaching me more and more about being a PI. I still think I'd like to work for a bigger outfit, but I've enrolled in classes and I want to get through those before aiming bigger. Right now, the practical experience I can get working with Jimmy doing things like a background check is way too useful to pass up. I'm learning all kinds of ways to find people. On another note, that woman I felt drawn to? Totally mutual, and we've been hanging out--nothing serious yet, but I'm surprised by this relationship constantly. I feel like if I could get serious with anyone, it might be her. But I want to take this really slow. Oh, I'm trying to help her out with a project and found this article on finding a contractor that was pretty good. She's trying to help her parents find someone to remodel their kitchen. She says they are too trusting and get screwed over all the time. I figure with my PI skills, if I can't help her find someone trustworthy, then I'm really in the wrong field. Plus it's nice to be able to help her out. I dunno...I'm kind of hoping she and I work out.

PI School?

Jimmy the PI and I are still dating, mostly, but professionally we seem to be getting along better than ever. I say mostly because I think we bot figured out after a while that neither of us was really ready for a committed relationship. We still have fun, but lately I've been drawn to this woman I know--I've dated women before, which kind of weirds Jimmy out, but I always was honest with him about that. Anyway, she and I have been hitting it off more and more, so I've been...keeping my options open. Meanwhile, I'm thinking about going back to school to get my degree in criminal justice and psychology....I'm thinking I want to be an invesitgator, but I feel like I want to know a lot more about it than I do now. But I'm thinking a little bigger picture than the stuff that Jimmy has going on. I think I'd like to work for a larger outfit than that--I'm not sure I want to be in business for myself. I mean, as much as I like people searches, I'm not sure I want to stay just doing that. I mean, I can do a person search pretty fast now, but I'd like to expand into other, more investigative areas. I found this article on finding people using a people search engine and realized I already know how to do most of that. Not that I won't continue to share all that I know with you guys.  I'm just looking for a new challenge now. And I really want to go back to school. Anyway, I'm going to think about this more and let you know what I come up with.

A New Career?

Hi guys, me again. It's been about a month since my last post, but I have a good excuse this time. Remember Jimmy the PI? Well, things have been going really well between us. So well in fact that I've been busier than ever (and ifyou know me, that's pretty busy!) helping him with his business. No, I'm not out on stakeouts. I'm working the people searches. I guess he was so impressed with the amount of info I pulled up on him that he asked me for a few pointers. Not bad for just a part time hobby, huh? Anyway, here's a really good resource we've been using to find people.

Oh and his favorite show is Magnum PI!  At first I thought it was just some ironic joke, but the man has the entire series on DVD.  If it is a joke, that's some serious committment.

And here's an absolutely hilarious link we've been using to laugh:

People Search Stars

Hi all, Special K back at ya! I'm in a great mood, actually I've been in a great mood all month. I finally met a cool guy who respects woman. Met him through friends, but before going out with him, for safety sake, I decided to take my own advice and people search him. That put my mind at ease, especially since lately I had only been out with jerks. I'm telling you ladies it's the way to go, you never can be too safe these days. So back to Jimmy, that's his name. Jimmy is a PI, so we share a love of people search in common, funny thing is he actually people searched me before our date as well. We were in hysterics when we found out and both felt defensive, but then had a good laugh. It really broke the tension on our date. Anyway, wanted to let you all know about a couple of new people search sites (well new to me, that is) Jimmy turned me onto:

People Search Engines
PeopleSearchDigest.com - Public Records Now People Search Armed with tose links you to can be a people search Star!

Worst Date Ever

Last week, I went on the worst date ever, and I felt like I had to tell you all about it. I met this guy at a concert about a month ago. He was so hot, and he obviously like the same music as me so I thought it was perfect. I gave him my number and we went out maybe like two times before this last one. The first two were not bad dates. He took me to cool restaurants, and the first time we saw a movie, and the second time we went to another concert. It was his friend's band, so I wasn't familiar with the music, but it was pretty good none the less. Anyways, back to last week. He takes me to his friend's "party", which turned out to be all his friends and him getting trashed. He ignored me the whole night and didn't even notice when I took a cab home. He didn't even call me the next day! He called me the day after that, asking ME what my problem was. The nerve! I said, "You're my problem!" and hung up the phone. It was enough to make me not want to date anymore. I really need to use my people finder skills and people search these people before I go out with him. After that experience it doesn't really seem that extreme to run a backgorund check on your dates! Before I'm outta here, I just wanted to let you all know about a site called Consumer Advocate, which has some pretty awesome articles. There is on all about widgets, which made me in the know. I had always heard of them, but never knew what they were before. Ok, gotta go check out what's new on itunes from the wekeend. Later.

Finding people who love my kind of tunes

Facebook is also an excellent source to find people who have similar tastes in music. I'm probably behind the times on this, my friends told me MySpace is for high school kids, and to get a Facebook account. Boy am I glad I did, there's even more music info available on Facebook. I added the iLike application and now I can find local shows of my favorite bands and find people that are planning to go to the shows. I have so many new friends, with similar music tastes, it's awsome. I always felt like a misfit amongst my friends, in reality I just hadn't found the right people! Of course Facebook is an excellent preliminary way to find people, but it can't replace people search and background checks that the people search engines provide. And to that end, I have some great people search tools to recommend this month. People Search Website has great people search recommendations, I found this site really helpful. People Search Digest - Damsels In Success is an excellent people search news blog, this is one of my favorite posts.

People Searching Music

Have you been to the Myspace Music site, I mean really been to it? You can search any type of music, any band and get their info. I have found all the bands I'm into, and then found more bands to get into. I'm really into the band Stars right now. So good. I even find people who are into the same bands as me. It's so awesome because I never find people who want to go to shows with me. My girlfriend hates my music, and all my other friends have girlfriends who hate it too. Now I have found new friends to go to all the shows with me. People find me strange for just really getting into MySpace music, but I didn't have a computer for a while. Check out these websites I came across that will help you find people with similar interests.
